Local beautician and hairdresser in Hertfordshire

Jo is the younger sister of my boyfriend Jacob, she has been hairdressing for over 10 years since the tender age of 13. All this time has been in a salon in St Albans, her experience there allows her to give you salon quality treatments cheaper than you would normally pay.
She has a loyal following of clients who she visits regularly to treat their hair in the Hertfordshire area including local towns like St Albans, Stevenage, Hatfield, Welwyn, Hitchin and Harpenden,
Here are some of the advantages of hiring Jo to treat your hair!
  • Jo doesn't have to pay for an expensive salon and business rates and all the other costs in running a business, and this saving is passed on to you her client.
  • You save time as you don't need to travel to get your hair treated, you don't need to find a parking space, organise a baby sitter etc
  • You don't need to organise child care or care for your pets when you want to go and get your hair treated
  • Jo is skilled and sort after enough to be able to work outside of a salon, so the quality of her work must be good
  • You can book appointments with Jo out of normal salon hours, and Jo is flexible and is willing to work evenings and weekends.
Get in touch with Jo either through her website, Facebook or her blog.

Atlas Aerials - New website!

Over the years my TV Aerial website has become more and more dated, and also slipped through the ranks of Google a fair bit. This has made a hit on the a mount of work I get from my Television Aerial business. It was about time that I invested some money into my website and help my marketing to return my business into growth. Got in touch with my website developer and we are working on a new mobile friendly website which we hope to surpass the old one - http://www.atlastvaerials.co.uk. The website will have all the up to date information in the TV aerial industry as well being well integrated with all my social media accounts.

Atlas Aerials targets St Albans

Ive decided that it is time that I work a little bit harder at my marketing. We do pretty good in Hemel Hempstead and have allot of TV aerial installation clients here. However we have few phone calls for tv aerial installation in st albans, I guess the reason for this is that Ive been to busy installing TV aerials and sky dishes that I haven't had a chance to look after my website!

Well from today I'm gonna target st albans aerial customers, and try and provider a better to service to areas other than hemel hempstead!

Aerial installation business cards

Ordered some new business cards not to long ago, and I wasn't to sure on the best place to source them. I really didn't have time to go to the local printers and describe what I wanted and supply them with the correct artwork and so on.

I decided to find a provider online, and after a quick search and look around, I decided on Goodprint as I really liked a aerial business card template they had on their site.

Before I buy from any website, I like to check out its reputation. So I did a few google searches for goodprint reviews, goodprint customer reviews, goodprint feedback and so on and I found Goodprint on Trustpilot. Trust pilot are a third party review site offering unbiased and qualified reviews from Goodprint customers, so it paints a pretty clear picture of what people think of a companies service.

Goodprint scored a great 9 out of 10 when I looked, which convinced me to buy. Incidentally I also noticed some great window cleaning business cards there as well, well worth a look. Check out this you tube video on Goodprint from one of their customers.

My experience with Goodprint was much better than that I had with Vistaprint the year before.

First Job in St Albans

My website has been bringing in a steady stream of customers and im very pleased with the results todate.

Yestarday a lady from St Albans rang me up suggesting that she wasnt happy with her TV reception and that she had an old aerial that had been damaged slightly in the recent winds. Old or poorly fitted aerials are more vulnerable in heavy winds, so getting a new aerial professionally fitted will ensure that your TV reception is not at risk. To some people there is nothing more important than to watch their favourite soaps and TV programmes! Ive even fallen out with a few customers due to that fact!

Pleased to of successfully completed my first TV Aerial Installation St Albans job.

Television interference facts

Poor television reception can be extremely frustrating! Sometimes your reception can go from good to bad very quickly without an obvious cause or reason. Some time this is because of a fault in your television system, however external factors maybe causing interference and hampering your television reception.

Picture drop-out, pixelation and sound quality issues are common issues when suffering from from interference. Rather than spending time trying to diagnose complicated problems and risking injury by climbing rooftops to inspect an aerial; its a good idea to hire a professional.

Atlas Aerials offer a friendly father and son service in the Hertfordshire area. Please contact us for a free, no obligation quotation.

Here are some common reasons for interference.

Too much signal?

Its possible that you are living to close a a television signal transmitter. To much signal can overload your Freeview receiver. This problem is solved by installing a aerial attenuator into your television system to reduce the signal. Professional television installers will be able to diagnose this problem and install a attenuator to correct the issue.

Check your aerial

Damaged, poorly aligned or not up to the job aerials can reduce signal strength and give external television interference a chance to take hold. For best results you need a good quality rooftop aerial, aligned perfectly at the correct digital transmitter.

Electrical interference

Inteference from other electrical items around your house is a an occasional cause of poor reception/interference. For example your picture quality may suffer when a light is switched on, the washing machine is on. Terrestrial digital TV in particular is susceptible to interference of this kind.

There is many solutions to interference of this kind, usually it can be solved by combining a good quality external aerial with a high quality unbroken cable to your set top box.

Radio interference

If you live close to a police station, taxi firm, amateur radio/CB radio enthusiast it is possible that the signals transmitted from these can be interfering with your television.

There are special filters and ferrite rings which can be installed to remove this form of interferance as well as electrical interference.

Channel interference

Video recorders and some set-top boxes 're-broadcast' their signal via aerial cable. Often known as 'modulating', it allows equipment without SCART sockets to view the equipment's output. If you're seeing interference to channels, it is possible its caused by something in your setup clashing with other channels.
